About us

Van Driel Transport is a medium-sized transport company specializing in one-way container transport. We own 44 tractors and 80 chassis across three locations. Our tractor fleet follows a dual-brand policy, featuring Volvo and Mercedes. All our tractors come standard with air conditioning, microwave, and inverters to enhance the safety, ease, and comfort of our drivers. Our chassis, exclusively from the D-Tec brand, are suitable for transporting containers of any size, including tank containers.

Organization

Van Driel Transport operates from three locations: Van Driel Transport BV in Bergambacht (NL), Van Driel Transport Deutschland GmbH in Fussgönheim (DE), and Sotrai Sarl in Pétange (L).

Rotterdam

In 1999, the Van Driel Transport location in Bergambacht was established. Bergambacht is situated in the beautiful Krimpenerwaard. The distinctive white/blue trucks with the large cuckoo bird on the side are now familiar to everyone. The company continued to grow, becoming a well-established name in container transport. The fleet in Bergambacht currently consists of 13 tractors fully equipped for tank ADR and 35 tank ADR chassis, some of which are rented to EKB charters.

Fussgönheim

In 2006, Van Driel Transport Deutschland GmbH was established in Fussgönheim, a village near Ludwigshafen and Mannheim. Here, we primarily handle local transport (Nahverkehr) from the terminals in Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. We have our own site and office facilities where 16 tractors and approximately 25 chassis can be parked. Currently, there are 5 people working in the office. Additionally, we own a forklift capable of handling 20ft, 40ft, and 45ft containers with a maximum weight of 8 tons.

Pétange

In 2013, the Luxembourg-based company Sotrai Sarl was acquired, located in Pétange. Here, we primarily handle local transport to and from the train terminals in Athus and Bettembourg. The fleet consists of 15 tractors and 25 chassis. There are 5 people working in the office.
